Travel mini album

I loved the look of the new DoCrafts All Aboard range so bought the goodie bag even though I had no idea how I was going to use it! I sat and pondered a while, in between scanning Pinterest and watching YouTube videos, before I was inspired from my searching to create a mini album. This is something I've never done before and is a bit of a cross between card making and scrap booking. I decided I would make a mini album to keep things in for when I next go on holiday.

Here's what I started with:
All Aboard stickers
All Aboard 6 x 6 papers
All Aboard postcards/travel labels
All Aboard page tags
Urban Stamps World Map stamp
Old paper distress ink
Bronze eyelets inserted with crop-a-dile
Red and white baker's twine
Two shades of reddish brown card
Chipboard
I also used the washi tape from the pack but forgot to include it in the picture.

And here's how it ended up:

All the pages (and everything else) were distressed with old paper distress ink and all the pages have little labels to add notes to go with any pictures I decide to slot into it. I stuck it all together with Pritt stick, double sided tape and a few staples (which were purple and didn't fit the colour scheme at all but I loved them anyway!) It probably took me about 6 hours in total to make the whole thing and I've now just got to decide how to hold it all together - possibilities so far are key chain rings or brown string - suggestions welcome!

Here's a short video with some close ups of the pages too:

I really enjoyed making this album and I think it really pushed me to try some new things. I am definitely going to produce more in the future, as and when the inspiration strikes!
