The beauty of a garden...
I really love this stamp set (and all the others by Lin Brown from PaperArtsy) but have resisted buying any until last weekend as they are quite expensive but finally gave in and treated myself to just one set (very restrained of me!) :)
At the crafty weekend I was playing around and making a mess with cosmic shimmer mists and that is how the background began. I then repeatedly stamped the sentiment a la Jo Myhill's project #3 inspired by wallpaper, but I chose to alternate colours with peeled paint and dried marigold distress inks. All of the stamping and distressing was done with these two colours plus tattered rose. I decided to cut the main sentiment in half as it didn't look right to me along the bottom of the card and I like how it ended up.
I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Hi, I really like how you've taken the concept of the repeat pattern of the wallpaper and cut it up to make the tiles in the background. The colour scheme is lovely as well. Jo xx

ReplyDeleteThis is lovely and brilliant take on Jo's technique for the masterboard. I think you were spot on cutting the sentiment in half. It's created a beautifully balanced design.
