My nan wants to make a scrapbook of my cousins for my uncle so I went over to help her start it off today. First, we took a trip to our local craft shop and I managed not to buy anything! Then we went back to my nan's house and she left me to play while she made the dinner :)
This is the first ever scrapbook page I've made so it's probably a bit basic and I didn't have extra things like my die cutting machine or embellishment pen so the circle is cut freehand :O and I wanted to add some fake stitching to match the one printed on the background paper but couldn't :( It's from the day my cousin was born all the way back in 1992.
Sorry about the shocking photo, I had to take it at night. I love this cute paper - it says 'Snips and snails and puppy dog tails, that's what little boys are made of'. My nan used to have that on a plaque in her bathroom along with the sugar and spice bit for girls so it was very apt. I didn't want the little blocks that far down in the corner but had no choice as some silly person had stuck the price label half onto the paper which we didn't realise when we bought it and it wouldn't come off properly so they are hiding that. I actually have no idea about the make of any of the stuff I used here - my nan bought it all, I just stuck it all together!

ReplyDeleteA really lovely page for a first attempt. It doesn't really matter how much you do or don't put on a page that counts, it's what the page represents to you.
