Crochet fun

I've been wanting to learn crochet for ages and had got as far as buying a magazine and teaching myself chain stitch. After that I got a bit stuck and couldn't follow the instructions so I decided to find a course and struck luck by finding one at a local beading shop The Bead Scene. I was a bit worried that it would be quite difficult and that I would get into a kerfuffle so imagine my surprise when after 3 hours I had a finished granny square with a frilly edge and everything! I was very happy :)

Once I got home I decided to practise a bit more to make sure I could do it on my own and hadn't forgotten everything already! So I made these little squares below...

Now I've got the crochet bug I'm hoping I'll be able to teach myself other stuff like flowers and hopefully learn to follow patterns. My crochet Pinterest board is suddenly getting lots of pins :)

  1. Oh they're very pretty! I can knit (although I haven't done any for years) but I've never learnt to crochet... something to learn one day maybe :o) Hugs, Lisa x
