A rainy day

The weather here has been horrible today so instead of going out to a local country park with friends like we'd arranged we ended up staying at home. It was even too rainy to pop into town and do a spot of shopping so I hid myself away in the craft room and have been busy all afternoon :)

I was also veeeeeeeeery excited this morning when the postman brought me my ticket for the Big Stamp and Scrap Book show which is a month on Saturday. I've never been before but I'm really looking forward to it!

So onto my makes for today:

First up a snowman card:

I'm really pleased with how this card turned out. It's the first time I've used this design which I found in a magazine and is perfect for a challenge showing different folds and also, so simple to do. The papers are from DCWV, the stamp is one I bought last year and this is the first time I've used it. I was so impressed with the way it came out in black and white that I decided not to colour it (except for the tiny amount of gold glitter glue on the candle) as I didn't want to spoil it. All topped off with some black Happy Christmas ribbon from the range.

I am entering this card into the following challenges:
The Crazy Challenge - Anything Christmas Goes (Monthly Christmas Challenge)
Winter Wonderland - Light it up
